About
Me
It is through my experiences in education that I have
established The Gale Foundation.
My background is a lecturer in Travel and Tourism. I have
worked for Schools, Colleges of Further Education and
University. Within this arena I have also held additional
responsibilities.
I have had hands-on experience of introducing and running
different Travel and Tourism courses including Intermediate
and Advanced GNVQ; AVCE; BTEC National Diploma; GCE A Level
and Foundation Degree.
Changes lead to opportunities and in 2006 I moved from full
time lecturing to pursue my own interests with private
work.
In conjunction with www.bobholland.org I
have produced a number of educational resources for the
Travel and Tourism curriculum. These are written for
both teachers and students and are packed with practical
activities and assessment ideas.
Keeping up to date is important and I have professional
involvement with curriculum development. I have worked as
in Independent Reviewer for QCA and as a writer for BTEC
Nationals. I am also an External Moderator.
The Gale Foundation has been set up to support you by
providing quality training and guidance. I believe this can
be the catalyst for inspiration and development. The
following areas are available:
Support
and guidance with Vocational Courses
Consultancy in Travel and Tourism Qualifications
Training
for 'Communication Works'
Additionally,
The Gale Foundation can provide tailor-made training in
related areas. See Other Services for
further details.
